My Cooking Accomplishments:

2008: Runner-Up in a Hunt's recipe contest.  My Simple Stovetop Chili won me a copy of Martha Stewart's Cooking School.

September 18, 2010: My Mexican Lasagna won me the Summer Cooking Contest at Tried and Tested Recipes.  The prize was a $50 Amazon giftcard.

October 2011: My Crispy Baked Orange Teriyaki Chicken Wings were included in the Kalamazoo Gazette's 2011 Holiday Cookbook. I was a finalist in the appetizer category and was invited to go to Kalamazoo to make my dish for the three judges. (My first time ever cooking for judges!)

September-December 2012: Was chosen for the Fusion Taste Team USA sponsored by WorldFoods. I was one of the members of Team Michigan, and we won! Each blogger won a table set from Thailand, a Lemongrass and Ginger Cookbook, a feature in the Fusion Taste Team USA exclusive e-cookbook (I'm on page 17), a week’s “winning team” promotion across the social channels, and an Asian dining experience cooked by a professional chef in our homes. (Unfortunately, I was not able to receive the last prize as the date the chef was scheduled for me was in February, after our move to Wisconsin.) :(

November 2012: Was chosen by the Today Show as a finalist in their Today Show Home Chef Challenge. My Chicken Cordon Bleu Pizza was one of the three finalists in the pizza category and was narrowly beat by another recipe.
